Digital File Formats Compatible File Formats Definitions Photo images - use a grid of tiny squares called pixels. Each pixel is assigned a color and locations. This type of artwork is resolution dependent. The more pixels the higher the resolution. We can use this type of artwork to thermally print on a wide variety of outdoor and indoor grade materials. Vector graphics - is made up of lines and curves which define geometric shapes or objects called vectors. This type of artwork is resolution independent. Output size can be scaled to any size without losing detail. We can use this type of artwork to plot (contour-cut) and/or digitally print on a wide variety of outdoor and indoor grade materials. Graphics Note: In some cases, strokes and / or open-ended shapes do not convert exactly as created. To avoid possible problems please also send a color proof sample. Images We do have the capability to print Photo images. These formats are not vector images. We can also plot / contour-cut irregular shapes with printed photo. In this case vector based artwork needs to be linked with the corresponding photo. |
