Forwarded from Jack Leary to Coach Suleski:
Just received this e-mail and wanted to share it with you all. It is very
seldom that a team loses by 9 goals and finds the winning team exhibited
good sportsmanship.
Congratulations Scott and please pass this along to your team. I know how
difficult it can be when you have a team that has more talent than the
opposition, I am very grateful that we have a team who understands and a
coach who encourages that understanding.

Subject: St. Thomas soccer
Hi, my name is Joshua Spaulding and I wanted to pass along to you a bit
about the St. Thomas boys' soccer program.
I am the sports editor for the Granite State News in Wolfeboro and I cover
Kingswood High School sports. Our boys' soccer team has had a tough time
lately, winless in the last few years, so losses are nothing new to them.
However, our coach made a point of pointing out to me in his post game
comments that he felt that the Saints displayed incredible sportsmanship in
their 9-0 win last Friday. In the second half, he noted, St. Thomas took
fewer shots and generally just passed the ball to avoid running up the
score. Both he and his team took that as a sign of good sportsmanship and he
wanted that noted.
I thought I would pass it along, as this day and age, when rage and rudeness
can be commonplace in sports, it's nice to see sportsmanship on display.
Thanks for your time and congratulations to your boys' soccer coach and
players on their fantastic sportsmanship.
Josh
